About Libby
Libby is a qualified and experienced Social Worker. She enjoys working collaboratively with her clients to help them overcome life’s challenges and empowers them by giving them the tools to improve their lives.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Politics and Womens Studies. Libby worked in senior advisory roles in politics at both a State and Federal level. Whilst living overseas she worked with the UK Department of Health promoting the NHS. She is a mother of 4 children so she understands the demands of balancing career, family and the everyday pressures of life.
Libby’s passion for working with women and children inspired her to return to university to complete a Master of Social Work. As a Social Worker Libby has experience working in the challenging area of child protection and with vulnerable young people and their families in crisis response, residential care and specialised case work.
Libby believes that life can be difficult and challenging at times and that most people will come across situations and experiences that are overwhelming and test our ability to cope. She believes in the power of being able to “talk it out” and thinks that having the opportunity to discuss your feelings, conflicts, fears or anxieties often reduces their power and intensity, and allows for greater perspective and a renewed clarity.
